Head and Reverse Self Portrait have been sized to echo each other as a pair. The voluminous shape has been inspired by very tiny pieces of bark that could fit in the palm of the artist’s hand and whose shape suggests heads. Thanks to a good photograph and the computer enlargement technique some details have been exposed and turned into a majestic piece of drawing investigating together with her Reverse Self Portrait this no man`s land between the figurative, the abstract and the surreal. |
